The gate is the last place a document can still be checked.

DocVigia turns the exit of your yard into a verification point. The guard scans a QR sticker on the unit and gets one answer — GO or NO-GO — computed from the documents that unit is required to carry and the dates on them. No paperwork to read, no judgment call, no hardware on the gate.

The verdict

One screen, and it is not a list of documents.

A guard with thirty seconds and a queue behind them cannot audit a folder. So the scan does the reading and hands back a decision, plus the one document that caused it.

01

Scan

Each unit carries a printed QR sticker, generated and printed from the platform. The guard opens the DocVigia app and points the camera.

02

Decide

The app compares what that unit is required to carry against what is on file and still valid. Anything missing or expired returns NO-GO, and names it.

03

Record

The scan is written to the gate log with the guard, the gate, the unit, the verdict and the time. Nobody reconstructs it afterwards.

What it checks

The tractor, the trailer and the operator — as one departure.

A valid truck pulling an invalid trailer is still a stopped load. DocVigia's Mexico catalog asks a tractor for nine documents on a domestic run, its trailer for four, and the operator for a licence. Fourteen dates, all of which have to be current at once.

Domestic run · what is checked Applies to
Circulation card Tractor + trailer
Dictamen Tractor + trailer
Insurance policy Tractor
Emissions report and sticker Tractor
Physical-mechanical sticker Tractor + trailer
Plate sticker, front and rear plates Tractor + trailer
Operator licence Driver
  • Cross-border adds Carta Porte. Hazmat adds the safety permit. The requirement set follows the trip type, not a single global checklist.
  • The matrix is yours. Document types, unit types, trip types and which combination requires what are all editable — a fleet outside Mexico defines its own.
  • A local run asks for less. Four documents on the tractor, two on the trailer. Blocking a unit for a document its trip does not need is how a gate check stops being trusted.
In the yard

Built for a gate with bad signal and no budget.

Works offline

The guard app returns a verdict with no signal and syncs the event when the connection comes back. A yard on the edge of coverage is the normal case, not the exception.

No hardware

A printed sticker and the phone the guard already has. No barrier integration, no reader to install, no cabling to a gatehouse that may not have power.

Nothing to interpret

Guards rotate, and a policy that lives in someone's head leaves with them. The verdict comes from the matrix and the dates, so it is the same verdict on every shift.

Evidence, automatically

Every scan — cleared or blocked — lands in the gate log, exportable in one click. When an inspection asks what you knew and when, that is the answer.

What this is not

DocVigia does not raise your barrier, does not track where the unit goes afterwards, and does not talk to SAT, SICT or VUCEM. It stores the documents those processes produce — Carta Porte among them — and tells you when one is about to lapse.

Direct integration with the government portals and with insurers is on the roadmap. We would rather say so here than have you find it out during onboarding.

FAQ

Before you put this on a gate.

How long does one vehicle take?

A few seconds. The guard scans, reads one word, and waves the unit through or holds it. There is no form to fill in on the way past — the only typing happens when a unit is held and somebody has to fix the document.

What if the driver disputes the verdict?

The screen names the document and its date, so the conversation is about a fact rather than an opinion. If the document has been renewed but not uploaded, someone with the right permission uploads it from a phone and the next scan clears.

Can a manager override a NO-GO?

Access is role-based: guards, drivers, HR, legal, finance and fleet each see and do only what their role allows, and every action is logged. Whether an override exists in your operation is a policy decision you configure — but it is never invisible.

Do we need a scanner at every gate?

No. The guard app runs on an ordinary Android or iOS phone, and the QR sticker is printed from the platform on ordinary label stock. Adding a second gate means adding a person with a phone.

See it on your own fleet.

Ten vehicles free for thirty days, no card. Import your fleet from a spreadsheet, print the stickers, and put a phone on the gate.
