Our Purpose

Our Purpose: Compliance Without Surprises

DocVigia exists so that no fleet finds out about an expired document at a checkpoint. Here is why we built it, who it is for, and what we promise.

Why we exist

Nobody loses a document. They lose the date on it. Every transport company already has its papers somewhere — a shared drive, a dispatcher's inbox, a binder in the yard office. What none of those places can say is which unit cannot leave this morning, and who was supposed to renew the document that stopped it.

We built DocVigia after watching that happen: a truck fined for a piece of paper that expired the week before, a load that arrived late, a driver paid for a day of standing still. The fine was the cheap part. Our purpose is narrow on purpose — make sure the gate is the last place anyone has to find out, and make finding out there a formality.

Who it is for

Transport and logistics companies whose operation runs on paperwork — renewals, verifications, gate checks and audits — and whose margin does not survive a fine. Inside those companies, four people use DocVigia for four different reasons.

  • The fleet manager wants one screen that says which units can leave today and which cannot — and why. Not a folder to search through.
  • Compliance and legal need to prove what was valid on a given date when an auditor or an insurer asks. A record, not an afternoon of reconstruction.
  • Human resources owns driver licences and the exams behind them, and wants the reminder to reach HR — not a shared inbox that belongs to nobody.
  • The gate scans a sticker and gets GO or NO-GO with the exact document named. A four-second check instead of an argument with the driver.

What we promise

Three commitments, and one we will not make.

No compliance surprises

Nothing about a fleet's paperwork should be discovered at a checkpoint. If DocVigia is doing its job, the gate is a formality.

Configurable, not hard-coded

Document types, unit types, trip types, roles and the requirement matrix are catalogs you edit. Mexico ships as the starting set, not as the system.

Your data stays yours

Each company's data is isolated from every other, access is scoped by role and by site, and an export is a button — including on the way out.

What DocVigia is not

It is not a GPS or telematics platform. It does not track where a truck is, how fast it is going or how much fuel it burned, and it does not plan routes or manage loads. It also does not file paperwork with SAT, SICT or a state registry on your behalf — it tracks the validity of what those processes produce. If location or routing is the problem, a TMS or a telematics provider is the honest answer, and DocVigia is built to sit beside one.

Two questions we get first

Is DocVigia only for large fleets?

No. The free plan covers ten vehicles for thirty days with no card, and the paperwork problem is the same at ten units as at four hundred — it just becomes impossible to hold in one person's head sooner than most fleets expect.

Does it work outside Mexico?

The Mexico document catalog is what ships enabled today. The structure underneath — document types, unit types, trip types and the matrix connecting them — is editable, so a fleet under a different regime can build its own set on the same system. Ready-made catalogs for other countries are coming.
