Questions fleet managers ask
DocVigia does not have a wall of customer logos yet, so this page is the honest substitute: the questions that actually come up before a fleet switches, answered directly, including the parts of the product that are still on the roadmap.
What happens to our documents.
Is our data isolated from other companies using DocVigia?
Yes. Each company's data is isolated from every other's, access is scoped by role and by distribution centre inside your own account, and every upload, replacement, view and export is logged — the audit trail is a core part of the product, not an add-on for a certification.
Can we get our data out if we leave?
Export is a button, including on the way out. A document vault a fleet cannot leave is a reason not to trust it in the first place, so DocVigia does not build that lock-in.
Who can see a driver's licence and personal documents?
Only the roles you allow — drivers can be limited to their own file, HR sees licences and not insurance policies, and the same audit log that covers company documents covers personal ones. Licence data is personal data, and it is treated as such.
What it takes to actually move.
We already keep everything in SharePoint. Do we have to abandon it?
No. DocVigia imports from SharePoint libraries on a schedule, so the drive stays where it is and the expiry tracking, requirement matrix and gate check run on top of it. What a drive alone cannot do is tell you that a specific unit may not leave today.
How long does it actually take to go live?
Under an hour for most fleets, without help from us: a guided wizard sets up the workspace, a spreadsheet import brings in the fleet and its documents, and QR stickers print from the platform. Ten vehicles are free for thirty days with no card, specifically so this can be checked rather than taken on faith.
Will the guards actually use this, or will they route around it?
The guard side of the app does one thing — scan, read a verdict — on a phone they already carry, with no barrier hardware to learn and no folder to search. The narrower a tool's job, the less reason there is to route around it; the wider risk is a policy exception your team configures, and every exception is logged, not silent.
What DocVigia is not being sold as.
Is this a GPS or telematics platform?
No. DocVigia does not track where a unit is, how fast it is going or how much fuel it burned, and it does not plan routes. If that is the actual problem, a TMS or a telematics provider is the honest answer, and DocVigia is built to sit beside one rather than replace it.
Does it file paperwork with SAT, SICT or VUCEM for us?
Not yet. DocVigia tracks the validity of the documents those processes produce — Carta Porte among them — and tells you who should act and when. Direct integration with the government portals is on the roadmap and is stated as roadmap everywhere it comes up, not implied as shipped.
